The 5Rhythms® comprise a simple movement practice designed to release the dancer that lives in every body, no matter what its shape, size, age, limitations and experience. This practice itself is simple, there are no steps to follow. We dance not for a mastery of the practice, but for its medicine. The class is guided by a certified teacher, who may offer some prompts or invitations to bring dancers into the practice. We will dance through each of the 5 rhythms – Flowing, Staccato, Lyrical, Chaos and Stillness.

Sweat Your Prayers class is best suited for dancers who have become familiar with the 5Rhythms® practice already and wish to move with limited instruction. However, all are welcome to join. The class may or may not include a demonstration of the 5Rhythms, and is designed for dancers to follow their inner guidance through the 5Rhythms wave.
