The Greater Saginaw Amateur Hockey Association is working towards another 50 years of hockey legacy by hosting its annual 5K Skate on January 1, 2025. Proceeds from this event will be used to provide program scholarships for many families who could not otherwise afford to expose their children to the unique sport of hockey, and for needed facility improvements, such as lobby enhancements or a new dehumidifier to help maintain our ice.
The 5K Skate will take place at the Saginaw Bay Ice Arena on January 1, 2025. Participants will register for a start time and have up to one hour to skate a 5K, equal to 35 laps around the rink. This is a self-paced, UNTIMED event. You are not required to be a member of the GSAHA to participate; recreational skaters and beginners are welcome!
Please be sure to set up your peer-to-peer fundraising page to be eligible for prizes at various levels. You can participate as yourself or consider competing alongside your family or friends or in honor or memory of someone who has made a positive impact in your youth hockey journey. The top 5 individual fundraisers will get a special prize.
