October is Vision Awareness Month, & we at the Lions Club want to spread awareness! According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 314 million people in the world have a severe visual impairment.
Join us (Voorhees-Gibbsboro Lions & Haddonfield Lions) for this 5K run for Sight, as we shine a spotlight on vision awareness & care.The race will take place Saturday October 5, 2024 - 9:00 a.m. sharp.
All events start and finish at Maria Greenwald, Softball Field.
There is on site parking.
Join us for Post-Race Refreshments and Award Ceremony at King's Road Brewing Company, 131 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
Additional Parking available at Downtown Haddonfield, *Payment Required, enforced 9 am - 8 pm*
Visually Impaired participants are welcomed to partake in the event with a guide or guide dog as needed. Guides will be available if needed.

4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Packet Pickup will be held at the Haddonfield Running Company, 121 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, NJ 08033. In-person registration is available, CASH or CHECK ONLY.
*Saturday 10/5
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Check-in, Packet Pickup, and Race-Day Registration if available (prices increased) at race site, CASH or CHECK ONLY.

Come join us for awards and an after-race party at King's Road Brewing Company from 10:30 am-11:00 am. The brewery will close for a short period of time to clean before they reopen at 12:00 p.m. No alcohol will be served until the brewery reopens. Refreshments(including Bagels, Fruit, and Water) will be available from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
The Race:
Race start is located in the field just below the baseball diamond outfield. Runners will run across field toward the parking lot, turning left after the parking lot to reach the macadam path on Park Blvd. Runners turn left onto Park Blvd. path and continue to Grove St. following the path as it veers downhill toward the water. Runners will bear left, picking up the packed dirt running trail through the woods, passing behind Erlton Swim Club and the Cherry Hill Parks Department building. Shortly after passing the starting line, runners will turn right, leaving the dirt trail, to cross the concrete bridge. After crossing the bridge, runners will bear left to pick up the dirt running trail through the woods (heading toward Kings Highway). As runners see Kings Highway above, they turn left to cross a second concrete bridge,
and follow the running trail back heading toward the parking lot. Runners follow the dirt trail until they reach the end of the metal guard rail, and make a sharp right turn up the hill to take them back to the macadam path on Park Blvd. Runners turn left on the macadam path and head toward the baseball diamond, running behind the baseball backstop, crossing the grass field past the race start line, and then picking up the dirt trail, bearing left on the trail toward the finish line.
