Run, cheer and celebrate the start of a new year with us at Forgotten Star Brew Co!Ring in 2025 with the ultimate mix of fitness, fun and beer at Forgotten Star Brewing! On Saturday, January 4, 2025 , join us for a laid-back 5K fun run, the first-ever Bonus Beer Mile and a relaxing pre-run yoga class. Whether you’re here to stretch, run, or enjoy some cold beer, we’ve got something for everyone!
OPTIONAL: Pre-Run Yoga Class (10:00 AM)
Start your day off right with an optional pre-run yoga class. Our instructor will guide you through a 45-minute session to stretch, relax and get your body ready for the fun ahead! It’s the perfect way to ease into the day and get energized. Make sure to bring your own mat. Tickets that include yoga include an additional cost.
THE MAIN EVENT: The 5K Fun Run (11:00 AM)
Join us for a 5K fun run around Forgotten Star Brewing and the surrounding area! This non-timed , relaxed race is perfect for all fitness levels. Whether you run, jog, or walk, you’ll have a blast, and when you cross the finish line, you’ll be treated to a cold beer from Forgotten Star - cheers to 2025!
BECAUSE WHY NOT: The First-Ever Bonus Beer Mile (~12:00 PM)
The real fun begins starting at 12:00 PM with the first-ever Bonus Beer Mile! Teams of two or four will race a 1-mile relay around Forgotten Star. The twist? Each team must drink 32oz of beer in addition to the relay!
How it works:
-Form a team of 2 or 4 (the strategy is yours to create)
-Total distance to travel: 1600 Meters (1 mile) must be tracked on an approved GPS tracker (Strava, Garmin, Nike Run, etc)
-Total beer consumption: 32oz per team
-The fastest team to finish (running + drinking) wins the Bonus Beer Mile Trophy and cash prizes from Runcentive!
Cash prizes:
-1st place: $250
-2nd place: $100
-3rd place: $50
Prizes & Perks:
- 5K participants will receive a collector's swag item of choice and a free beer at the finish line
- Bonus Beer Mile champions will win the Bonus Beer Mile Trophy and a cash prize (up to $250 )
- Additional awards for best team costumes, most creative team name, and fastest team
Event Schedule:
- 10:00 AM – Optional pre-run yoga session (45 minutes)
- 11:00 AM – New Year’s 5K fun run start
- ~ 12:00 PM – First-Ever Bonus Beer Mile team challenge (relay style)
- 1:00 PM – Awards ceremony & cheers
