5K Fun Run x Free Roam Brewing | Part of the Texas Brewery Running Series
Get ready to join us on Saturday, November 28, 2026, for our 5th annual Thanksgiving Weekend 5K-ish fun run that starts and ends at Free Roam Brewing in Boerne, Texas.
Gather your family and friends (including the four-legged ones!) and run, walk, or jog your way through beautiful Boerne—then raise a glass at the finish line with a craft beer brewed just steps away. Whether you’re an experienced runner, just looking for a fun way to be active, or in it for the amazing beer, this event is for you.
Your registration includes:
- One delicious craft brew from Free Roam Brewing
- Choice of a collector’s pint glass or seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series
- Entry into our prize raffle (win merch, beer, and more!)
- Access to post-run festivities like music, games, and local vendors
Bonus! We’re proud to give back—10% of proceeds support the San Antonio Food Bank, and we’re hosting a food drive. Bring non-perishable food items and earn a ticket for our Hunger Fighters Raffle for each item donated.
Bonus #2! Boerne’s annual Dickens on Main holiday festival takes place Thanksgiving weekend, and Free Roam is located right on Main Street. Come early for the run, enjoy a beer or two, and then spend the afternoon exploring the festival, shopping, dining, and enjoying the holiday atmosphere in downtown Boerne.

Important Details:
- This is a fun run, not a timed race—all paces are welcome, whether you run, jog, or walk.
- Open course alert: Roads will not be closed. Follow all traffic laws and stay aware.
- Our 5K-ish route starts and ends at the brewery and is designed to highlight the surrounding neighborhood. Follow the arrows and enjoy the sights!
- Bring a valid ID. You must be 21+ to enjoy the beer. Underage runners will receive a token for a non-alcoholic beverage.
- Rain or shine! If conditions aren’t safe for running, we’ll still gather for good times and great beer.
- No bag check—please pack light and dress for the weather.
- Dogs and strollers are welcome, but use caution. City sidewalks, streets, and trails may have uneven terrain which might not be suitable for your 4-legged and/or pint size running buddies. Free Roam is family and "Fido" friendly! Leashed dogs are welcome out on their amazing patio.
- Please drink responsibly. Carpooling, ridesharing, and designating a driver are always good ideas.
