What: 52 Hike Challenge - MN Chapter | National Trails Day - June Group Hike!
🌿National Trails Day is your chance to connect with nature, your community, and the trails you love! Join 52 Hike Challenge and American Hiking Society and outdoor enthusiasts nationwide in celebrating this day of action and fun!
When: Saturday, June 6 @ 10:00am to 12:30pm
Where: Willow River State Park, Hudson, WI
Trail details & ability level: Approximately 4.5 miles of trails. The trails are rated easy/moderate and take approximately 2.5hrs to complete.
With varying hiking paces, stops, and terrain, this may take a bit longer, and we will pace ourselves to accommodate the possibility of varying trail conditions for everyone.
Being able to hike at/around 2.5mph would be good for joining this hike.
We will be mindful of weather conditions before this hike, to ensure everyone's safety.
This includes temperature, rain/storms, and any elemental conditions as they present themselves. If there is a cancellation necessary, we will try to do so within 24hrs of the day of the hike.
What to bring: Weather appropriate clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and consider boots or supportive footwear, watch weather in case you need a raincoat, a daypack or similar with water, personal needs, bugspray, the Hiking 10 essentials, bring snacks or a small lunch and a positive attitude!
Due to a larger group setting, no dogs or pets unless they are working/service animals.
Parking/Admission: Parking and admission is $16 for a daily WI State Park Pass (non-WI vehicles), $13 for WI vehicles.
WI annual yearly State Park Pass is $50 (non-WI vehicles), $28 for WI vehicles.
Meet via the NATURE CENTER PARKING LOT -
DO NOT turn right after the entrance via the Park Office.
- Continue forward past the main lot and drive 2 miles to park in the Nature Center Parking Lot. This is also the picnic area.
The parking lot is in located close to the trailhead of the trails that we will be covering
- Use the Google Map Coordinates and the photo of the parking directions to the parking lot for accurate directions!

We will be covering the Little Falls to Willow Falls Trail = AND MAYBE, A FUN lil Challenge at the turnaround of the out and back!
