52 Hike Challenge MD with REI for Opt Outside Swallow Falls State Park

Come join us for an exciting hiking adventure at Swallow Falls State Park! This in-person event is organized by 52 Hike Challenge MD and sponsored by REI to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of 52 Hike Challenge and Opt Outside. Let's embrace the great outdoors and Opt Outside together. Lace up your boots, pack some snacks, and get ready to explore the beautiful trails of Swallow Falls State Park. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and fellow hiking enthusiasts. See you on the trails!

Canyon Falls Loop is a 1.5 mile trail that allows you to experience 4 amazing waterfalls.

We will meet at the pavillion near the main parking lot for introductions and giveaways. There is a parking fee of $3 for instate and $5 for out of state residents at Maryland State Parks.

REI is sponsoring a scavenger hunt to win great prizes including gift cards! We will also have some 52 Hike Challenge swag to give away as well.

The hike is moderately easy with some rocks and slipping hazards but overall it is safe for all ages.

Sturdy shoes and water are required. Trekking poles are recomended.
