510 Hikers — Giving Back Together 💚At 510 Hikers, we believe healthy living goes beyond the trail. It’s also about showing up for our community. As a nonprofit, we constantly ask: How can we help the overall community, especially in times and places where the need is high?
On Saturday, January 24th, we’re answering that question by partnering with CityTeam Oakland to make and serve dinner to our neighbors in need. We can use all the help and hearts from past help especially who spent so much time together giving and creating a legacy in the Bay for communities to give back.
What we’re doing
• Preparing 150 home-style meals: spaghetti, salad, and bread
• Cooked with the same care and love we’d give our own families
Volunteer roles (we need 15 volunteers, 15–20 total is perfect):
• Cooking & prep
• Serving
• Greeting & hosting
• Cleanup
Schedule
• 3:00 PM – Meet at CityTeam Oakland & start cooking in their full kitchen
• 4:30–6:00 PM – Dinner service
• 6:00 PM – Cleanup & close out
How it’s funded
• 510 Hikers will use funds to cover meat, sauces, noodles, and condiments ($460)
• Gift card donations will help cover remaining items (salads, dressings, bread)
👉 This means even if you can’t attend in person, there’s still a way to support.
What to wear
Everyone volunteering: please rock your red or black 510 Hikers shirt or hoodie. If you don’t have one yet, now’s a great time to grab one. We want to represent, look united, and show up as one team.
This is about more than a meal — it’s about service, community, and living our values out loud.

We only have 3 weeks to put this together so, bet you can, let’s get committed and organized and I’ll create a chat in the next week to communicate with everyone.
After the Holidays and the cameras are turned off, families are still in need. Let’s help how we can.
