Hey Everyone!!!
We love this trip. We love Lake Tahoe!! We love the 510 Hikers community!! We love bringing melanin to the town!! So, we got to do it one last time!!
For those who do not know, this is a trip we book yearly to South Lake Tahoe. We rent out 99% of a hostel and allow it to be a spot we have an overnight and hang out.
What happens is, we meet up at 9:00am on Saturday and hike in the morning. The hike is usually something chill, 4 miles long, no longer than 5. Then we drive and check into the hostel and you are free to do what you like but typically most of us will go have lunch in downtown (you can walk there from the Hostel) where they have some good restaurants to grub at and then hang out some more, walk to the beach, nap, chill watch sunset and then, go back to the Hostel and have fun in their big community room. We play games, have a karaoke competition and simply, hang out. Later for those who are next level. G level, we walk to the casinos and hang out, gamble or just listen to the DJ they have there and try to stay out of trouble.
There are 11 rooms and 44 beds total in the Hostel. There are also 2 SINGLE rooms. The cost for a bed there for the night is $35 The single rooms are $125. There are four beds to each room. Bunk beds. We all put in $10 each for snacks, pizzas and drinks the night of so the total is $45 for each bunk everyone ($135 for the singles). You are welcome to pay TWO ways.

If the singles sell out, you are welcome to book a full 4 bed bunk and use it for yourself or just share it with friends. If you go that route, it’s $170 (that includes the community room fund). You can have it for yourself, split it another person you bring, or two, or 3, etc. each room has its own bathroom and shower.
All rooms are either women or men. No coed shenanigans. Take that to the Harrahs across the street or the beach late night!! 😆
Welcome to pay it all upfront or if need be $25 to reserve a bed and $20 due September 15th, no later please). $25 is non refundable to secure your spot. This will sell out.

I’ll have 15 bottles of wine ready, you all bring the games, the harder liquor and your best karaoke songs (you can start practicing now!!!)
In the morning there will be light breakfast and sausage and pancakes for anyone who wants to make them (we make the batter and leave it available for anyone) around 8am.
Check out at 11am for an easy chill drive back home.
Nice overnight road trip to get out, hang out, laugh and just do a healthy road trip while the weather is perfect is Tahoe this time of year.
Gather friends but come solo if you like. We have folks come from all over the state on this trip. Great place to meet your next travel buddy and friend or to simply have fun with friends and friends of friends (your friends can get with my friends and we can all be friends).
This event is not for everyone. Only the sexy people. 😆. To be honest. Tahoe is too often a space for black and brown folks to go but feel alone and often, find themselves looking unwelcomed. So, we like to roll deep, come out, melanated rich especially, do a lil take over and have fun in Tahoe without feeling like we have to be alone or out of sorts to enjoy ourselves in a beautiful city!!
You do not have to spend the night to come hike. If you want to get a hotel, that’s fine too. But, if you plan on coming that night to our hang out at the Hostel, please send $15 to cover the location and snacks/food that we provide.
