This year's Bailey Neighborhood Ice Cream Social is Wednesday, July 8th, 2026 in Norman Foster Smith Park at the Orchard St Pump House, 368 Orchard St, EL.
The ice cream will start scooping at 6:00p.m.---don’t miss the fun! Non dairy frozen treats will be available.
Come enjoy this wonderful Bailey tradition with your neighbors. If you can, please bring a treat to pass, be it savory or sweet, nutritious or not!
RAIN DATE IS Thurday July 9th, same time.
This evening will feature live music by Lansing's own Jeff Shoup Jazz Trio.

Jeff Shoup is a versatile drummer based in Lansing, MI. Jeff is most well-known regionally as the host of the long running, weekly jazz music series Jazz Tuesdays at Moriarty’s Pub, which he founded in 2014. When not playing jazz, Jeff performs in a wide variety of styles including salsa, rock, jam bands, blues, musical theater, and dance/pop bands.
Rogo the Clown will provide glitter tattoos!
Diane Worthington will be making Balloon animals for your children
The East Lansing Fire Department will have a truck for children to experience.
ELPD Officer Horn and K9Scott the police dog will join us.
You can also sign up or renew your membership for the Bailey Community Association! In the case of rain, this event is set to be rescheduled to Thursday July 9th.
