About this Event
On this tour, we will be visiting several special places along the Mark West Creek watershed, a place that is designated as special habitat for the endangered Coho salmon. We’ll see the 78-acre Nefertierra, Sonoma Land Trust’s first conservation easement property, visit lands crucial to maintaining water levels in Mark West Creek, and get a sneak peek at some new conservation properties. We’ll also learn about wildfire recovery and fire-dependent ecosystems from Program Manager Joe Plaugher, and end the day with a visit to the new Mark West Community Park.
