Now that the Hot Springs Concert Band has wrapped up its summer concert series, it is taking a well-deserved break in August. Rehearsals will resume in early September in preparation for its biggest concert of the year.
Join the Hot Springs Concert Band in its 50th Anniversary Concert, celebrating a half century of making music and memories for generations of our friends and neighbors in and around Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village. You'll be in store for a wonderful program of music carefully selected for this milestone event. This celebration will also include former HSCB principal conductor Dr. Craig Hamilton, who will be conducting the band in several selections. It will be great to have Craig with us again. As a special feature, the band will be hosting world-renowned soprano Kallen Esperian. Among her many accolades include winning the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition in 1985. She is best known for her widely acclaimed performances in major opera productions, but has also generously given of herself through benefit concerts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, among others.
With the tremendous music and our two special guests, concert goers can look forward to a wonderful afternoon on Sunday, October 12, at 3:00 p.m. at the Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village. Don't miss this special event! When tickets go on sale, notification will be sent out immediately.
