Join us for a 1950s Sock Hop–themed swing dance at the Valley Junction Activity Center in West Des Moines!Swing dance is a fun, social partner dance set to upbeat jazz and rockin’ rhythms and this month, we’re throwing it back to the 1950s. Think poodle skirts, rolled cuffs, and classic sock hop vibes. Dressing up is encouraged but not required!
We’ll kick things off with a beginner Lindy Hop lesson at 7:15 PM, designed to get you comfortable and out on the dance floor before the music starts.
At 8:00 PM, enjoy live music all night from local favorite Exit 113, playing high-energy swing tunes perfect for dancing.
Whether you’re brand new or have been dancing for years, this is a welcoming, community-focused night you won’t want to miss. Come solo or bring a friend — we’ll see you on the dance floor!
