Join us at Werner Park for the emotional and inspirational conclusion of the 2026 50 Mile March: Operation Freedom Path!
Nearly 200 marchers and more than 100 volunteers will complete their 22+ hour, 120,000+ step journey from Lincoln to Papillion on Sunday, August 23rd — and we want YOU there to welcome them home.
This year marks a return to our roots as marchers once again begin at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln on Saturday, August 22nd before arriving at Werner Park at approximately 10:00 AM.
The Landing Celebration will feature entertainment, refreshments, food vendors, kids activities, and an unforgettable atmosphere as our community comes together to honor the grit, sacrifice, and determination of those marching in support of veterans facing homelessness and mental health challenges.
We anticipate thousands of supporters lining the finish line, and you won’t want to miss this incredible display of patriotism, endurance, and hope.
We encourage attendees to arrive early so you don’t miss the arrival of the marchers and support caravan.
ABOUT THE 50 MILE MARCH
The mission of the 50 Mile March Foundation is to empower veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness by building a community of hope and relentless support.
Funds raised by the 50 Mile March and our participants support local nonprofit organizations serving veterans, as well as our vision for the Community of Hope campus project — a community center and tiny home village designed to support veterans who need us most.
