Leeds Castle: A Castle Series Dog Walk with The Dog Advisor Kent
Guided Group Walk
Overview:
Time to get some tails wagging! Following the success of our first collaboration, we’re delighted to be teaming up again with The Dog Advisor Kent as part of our Castle Series, this time at the beautiful Leeds Castle near Maidstone.
This 4 mile circular adventure has been designed especially for our customers and their dogs. Known as “the loveliest castle in the world,” Leeds Castle sits on two islands in a stunning lake and has a history dating back over 900 years, with links to Saxon times and later used as a royal residence for six medieval queens.
Our route takes us through the nearby church and into the impressive castle grounds, before following the gentle flow of the River Len and heading out towards Broomfield. It offers a mix of open scenery, parkland and peaceful countryside, perfect for a relaxed and sociable group walk.
We’ll pause along the way for a picnic together, and every dog will be treated to homemade biscuits and a slice of dog friendly cake.
Expect a friendly pace, plenty of wagging tails, and a shared love of exploring.
Route Details:
Our walk begins near Leeds village, passing the historic church before entering the wider estate surrounding Leeds Castle. The landscape here blends manicured grounds with more natural countryside, giving a varied and enjoyable walking experience.
We’ll pick up paths alongside the River Len, a gentle chalk stream that winds its way through the estate. As we continue towards Broomfield, the terrain remains generally easy underfoot, with a mix of grassy paths and firm tracks suitable for most walkers and dogs.
This circular route offers a wonderful balance of history and nature, with glimpses of the castle grounds and the wider Kent countryside throughout.
Lunch:
We will be having a picnic at the end of our walk and all dogs will be treated to biscuits and cake (dog friendly of course!)
Tickets + Dogs:
This event is all about our beloved dogs. We ask that all dogs remain on a lead at all times of the event for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Tickets cover one human and one dog.
Please include your dogs name and breed at checkout.

We can’t wait to welcome you!

We totally understand how you feel! In fact, around 80% of our members come to the group solo, and most of them make friends in no time at all. Our group is warm, welcoming, and supportive, and you’ll quickly find that everyone is open to chatting and getting to know each other. We have a wide variety of life experiences among us, so there’s always something to connect over. You’ll be at ease before you know it! Walking with us is not just about keeping active; it’s about making new friends and building a supportive community within nature.

💷 Cost: £20 per person
📍 Location: Meeting at Leeds –(full details in the booking confirmation email). A circular walk.
⏳ Duration: Please allow approx. 3 hours hours including breaks. Please note timings are approximates.
📏Distance: 4miles / 6km.
🌄 Terrain: paved paths and woodland trails.
🍽️ Food & Drink: Please ensure you have all food you will need and enough water for this walk. We recommend 1L as a minimum. Please bring enough for your picnic. Dogs will be catered for!
🐕 Dogs: We insist!!
🚽Toilets: Toilets are available at Leeds Castle or nature toilets along the way.
🚶♀️ Walk Leader: I am a fully trained Lowland Leader with a enhanced DBS (available upon request) and trained in outdoor first aid. I am also trained and qualified in nutrition, wellness and female health. MJ Outdoor Adventures is fully insured. Your safety is our priority.
