5 Rivers Paddle

Change of plans! Just in case the kayak launch is not open, like the building on Sundays I bumped the paddle back to Saturday morning. I'm just looking to get out on the water and meet some local paddlers. The launch is the best around, parking is plentiful and free, and it's between the Eastern Shore and Mobile areas. Just a Sunday morning social idea, although I do enjoy getting my workout in so I don't avoid digging into the wind. If you are a gator aversionist please join us anyway and learn that they do stick to themselves and numbers will make you feel safer. If you don't have a kayak I have 2, so don't let that hinder you either. PM me and I'll bring both. I've paddled here many times and generally head down the river towards Mobile and the Justin's Bay Shelter but I've never gone into that little river and made it to the shelter. Birds are always plentiful and the grassy marsh is open so you can see a good distance. Not many overhanging trees either. Wind can be the biggest challenge but there's the workout part!!
