5/20/25 and 5/22/25 Level 3 APS Training

This 2-day in-person training includes practice of advanced physical skills and it is recommended that you dress in comfortable clothing and be prepared for getting up and down to the floor during practice.

Level 3 APS trains staff that support people who may demonstrate dangerous or complex behavior. In addition to the nonviolent crisis intervention techniques taught in the NCI course, this program teaches safe and advanced disengagement skills.

*Recommended for staff in PES, Psychiatry and the BHC.

This course requires 18.5-hours to complete:

• 2.5-hour online module (must be completed before skills session)
• 16-hours in person skills sessions over 2 days
