Join the Fayette Historical Society for an immersive journey into the past. Experience the sights and sounds of the American Revolution right in our own backyard!
What’s Happening:
⚔️Revolutionary War Camp: Explore an authentic soldiers' camp featuring a period-accurate wagon and live reenactors! 🥁
✍️Sign the Declaration: Your little patriots can make history by signing the Declaration of Independence using a real quill and ink! 📜
👨👩👧👦Family-Friendly Vendors: Discover local makers with a focus on fun, hands-on learning for all ages. 🏫
🗓️ SATURDAY, JULY 4th
🔔Join Fayette Historical Society and the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) on the Courthouse Square at 2:00 PM for a special Bell Ringing Ceremony to honor the brave signers of the Declaration of Independence. 📜✨
Here’s what’s happening:
⚔️ Honor Guard: The SAR will present the colors and perform a traditional gun salute.
🔔 The Big Ring: We’re working with the DAR to have the clock tower bell ring for every signer!
🏛️ Exclusive Museum Hours: Open for one hour only (2:30–3:30 PM) to view a special exhibit on the three signers from Georgia.
🎆 EVENING: Main Street’s 4th of July Bash!
The party moves to the park for our grand finale! We’re bringing you:
Massive Firework Show 🎆
Delicious Food Trucks 🍔🍕
DJ 🎶
Inflatables for the Kids 🏰
