4th of July at Cavallo Point - In Celebration of America's 250th
About this Event
Few places are better positioned to mark America's 250th birthday than Cavallo Point. In our National Park setting, perched at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge on the grounds of a former U.S. Army post, this setting has witnessed more than a century of American history. This Fourth of July, history comes alive as fireworks will be launched directly from the Golden Gate Bridge, lighting up the sky above one of the world's most iconic landmarks. There's truly no better place to watch it happen than Cavallo Point.
Join Us for a Full Day of Celebration
The festivities begin in the late afternoon and carry well into the evening. Our Fourth of July BBQ brings together culinary favorites alongside beer, wine, and cocktails (available for purchase until 8pm), all set to a jazz band bringing the party to the Callippe Terrace. On the Parade Ground, where soldiers once drilled and marched, kids are invited to fly kites, which are included with the purchase of a BBQ ticket. A handful of local artisans will also be set up, including and , and more.
Throughout the day, historic tours of the property will give guests a deeper look at Cavallo Point's military past, and costumed storytellers will be strolling the grounds to bring the history to life in a way that's as entertaining as it is memorable.
Need a break? Grab a seat inside at Farley, serving its full menu all evening, and enjoy acoustic guitarist and long-time Farley favorite John Vicino performing throughout the evening.
Additional parking is available at the Discovery Museum next door on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early.
