Paula Maya is an award winning Brazilian pianist-keyboardist, singer, songwriter, and recording artist. She is a Grammy © and Latin Grammy © Awards voting member and a GrammyU Mentor. She won two silver medals in the 2026 Global Music Awards in the categories Best Instrumentalist and Best Jazz, and two silver medals in the 2024 Global Music Awards in the categories Best Instrumentalist and Best Bossa Nova. Her band has been nominated in the Austin Chronicle Music Awards multiple times.
She was voted Best Brazilian Songwriter by the Seattle Weekly and was nominated Best Brazilian Musician living in the US by Focus Web News Brazilian International Press Awards. She's from Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, the birthplace of Bossa Nova.
