4th California Germany Agrivoltaics Conference

Agrivoltaics, the art of growing crops and generating solar power on the same land, is moving from research plots to real operations. At this year’s Agrivoltaics Conference at UC Davis, farmers, policymakers, researchers, developers, and farming associations from California and Germany will come together for a full day built around concrete answers.

The event will showcase current Agri-PV systems in operation and provide practical insights into how these technologies can be integrated into existing agricultural operations.

Through expert panels, case studies, and field-driven discussions, participants will gain a clear understanding of how agrivoltaics can enhance farm resilience, diversify income, and unlock new investment opportunities, while maintaining productive land use.

Agrivoltaics is the next frontier for the clean energy transition and will be pivotal in reaching ambitious clean energy goals in Germany and California.

The California Germany Agrivoltaics Conference was created to strengthen transatlantic collaboration in this important sector, promote idea exchanges, and create an ecosystem from which all players involved can benefit. The goal is to build strong German-American partnerships that will lead this growing market of agrivoltaics.
