We wanted to create an avenue for our community to rest, relax, and have a little fun amidst the hard work. However, festival culture can often produce a massive amount of waste and bear the opposite of Sunrise Movement Chattanooga's mission. We don't think it has to be that way. There is most certainly a way for our community to enjoy their passionate, artistic, and enriching selves without producing any waste at all. Thanks to careful planning from our team of young activists and NewTerra Compost, we can easily make such an event possible.
