4th Annual Walk for Maternal Health Awareness – Walk • Heal • Grill Community Experience, In Honor of Black Maternal Mental Health

Join Khairi and Little Angels’ Memorial for a powerful community event dedicated to raising awareness, providing resources, and supporting maternal and infant health in our community. This annual experience brings together families, healthcare advocates, community organizations, and local leaders to walk, heal, and connect while addressing one of the most critical health issues impacting families today.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Bessemer Recreation Center (Roosevelt Park), located at 100 14th Street, Bessemer, AL 35020. Setup will begin at 9:00 AM, the walk will begin at 10:15 AM, and the full event will start at 11:00 AM.

Attendees can expect a Maternal & Infant Health Awareness Walk, vendors with a plethora of information and community resources, community resource booths, mental wellness support and education, grilled food and refreshments, a live DJ, fun and games and a welcoming, family-friendly environment designed to bring the community together.

Maternal and infant health continues to be a critical issue, particularly in underserved communities. This event is designed to raise awareness, provide access to valuable resources and support services, encourage community engagement, promote healing, empowerment and advocacy for families.

We invite individuals, businesses, and organizations to be a part of this impactful event in multiple ways. Community members are encouraged to register and participate in the walk, businesses and organizations are invited to become vendors to share products, services, and resources and sponsors are welcome to support maternal and infant health while gaining meaningful visibility within the community. Supporters may also contribute by giving or sharing the event with others.
