4th Annual Stringers Branch Litter Clean Up
About this Event
Join us on Saturday, September 19th from 10am to 12:30pm for the 4th annual Stringer's Branch Cleanup! Efforts will be focused throughout the watershed from the headwaters near The Dollar General on the north end of town, all the way down to Lullwater Drive near Crust Pizza, and many locations in between. Please meet us at Red Bank City Park at 3817 Redding Rd. to begin the clean up!
We will have gloves, trash grabbers, and trash bags available. Please bring rain boots or waders, snacks, water, sunscreen, and wear weather appropriate clothing.
Stringers Branch can use some love! This creek is still on the EPA's 303(d) list and is impaired for habitat degradation, nitrogen and/or phosphorus, and bacteria. WaterWays has worked with the City of Red Bank and TDEC to restore the health of this stream through litter clean ups, streambank repair, native plantings and education. Help us in the journey to remove it from the 303(d) list!
