SICC Forest Fest brings together students, families, educators, artists, nonprofits, skilled trades, forestry professionals, and community members for an unforgettable weekend rooted in learning, creativity, and connection. Across the festival, guests can explore chainsaw carving, Timber Sports, mechanized equipment demos, mass timber displays, environmental education, family activities, and public programs connected to restoration work at Tickle Creek. There is a lot going on, come check it out!
Public Welcome at all times but each day has a focus:
June 5th: Student/Education Day
June 6th: Timber Sports and Chainsaw Competitions
June 7th: Public Timber Sports & Carving Judging/Auction

Student Day with all-ages activities and education-focused programming
Chainsaw carvers and carved art
Competitive Timber Sports
Guinness Book World Record Attempt by Johnny Kimball (noon on 5th-noon on 6th)
Historic 6' saw demonstrations
Mechanized equipment demo field
Mini excavators for kids
Educational nonprofits and environmental organizations
Family zone with music, bounce activities, reading circles, and crafts
Mass timber displays
Arbor ascension into the Tickle Creek canopy with Pros!
Tickle Creek Trail w/AntFarm focused on invasive plant removal and fuels reduction
Live auction of carved art on Sunday @ 4:30pm!!!
Hosted by Trajectory, a community-based forestry nonprofit, SICC Forest Fest reflects a bigger mission: building relationships between K–12 students and professionals in forestry and natural resources, creating pathways into college and trades, and celebrating the people, skills, and stories that shape Oregon’s forest communities.
Come celebrate the forests of Oregon through education, heritage, art, restoration, and community.
