September is National Recovery Month, and we’re excited to celebrate by bringing visibility to the recovery community, connecting people with resources, and gathering in one of Indiana’s greatest natural treasures—the Indiana Dunes.
While the national average of overdose fatalities is declining, Lake County’s overdose deaths have INCREASED. In fact, overdose was the leading cause of death in Lake County in 2024. But we know there are evidence-based solutions—harm reduction, community support, and education.
