4th Annual Hug-a-Horse: Suicide Prevention Month

Join us for the 4th Annual Hug-a-Horse at Tacktics in Galena.
A free community event in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, Hug-a-Horse welcomes the community to come onto Tacktics' 200 acre facility with over 20 rescued horses. While the horses roam and graze naturally, you'll be able to mingle with them, hug them, pet them, or sit in the field and just be.
We will have blue and purple ribbons available and we encourage you to tie them in the manes of the horses in symbolization of someone you have lost to suicide.
We have 2 evenings this year, September 10th and 14th, 5-7pm each night.
- Children are allowed but please remember the reason for this event. It is not a free children's activity to see the horses. Children must have an adult with them *at all times* keeping energy and volume low and respecting other peoples space.
- No dogs allowed onsite.
We hope to see you there.
