Join us for our 4th annual food safety conference where you will be able to hear from experts, network, and participate in hand-on training.
Description
Are you responsible for food safety or interested in the most recent food safety developments? If so, you are invited to Utah's 4th Annual Food Safety Conference, April 9-10, 2025 at Thanksgiving Point! This conference is put on by the Utah Food Safety Task Force.
Topics include:
- Creating a food safety culture
- Recent foodborne outbreak in UT
- Mobile Food Establishment Panel
- The science of pasteurization
- Food Safety in schools
- The value, importance, and daily impact of food safety.
- Food safety management systems
- Cannabis and food safety
- Recalls and implementation of FSMA 204
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Benjamin Chapman. Dr. Chapman is the director of the Safe Plates food safety extension and research program at North Carolina State University. He is the co-chair of the “STOP Foodborne Illness” board of directors and co-hosts two podcasts, “Food Safety Talk” and “Risky or Not”.
This conference is for academia, farmers, industry, manufacturers, producers, public health, regulators, retailers, and anyone else who is interested in food safety.
This conference will be in-person only. You do not have to be from Utah to attend.
