Celebrate Culture, Community, and Remembrance
Join us for a vibrant, family-friendly Día de los Muertos celebration at the Oshkosh Public Museum on Saturday, October 11, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm! Admission to the Museum and all event activities is completely free—all are welcome.
This cultural celebration is a joyful way to honor the lives of those who've passed while experiencing the music, dance, art, and storytelling traditions that make this day so meaningful.
🌼 Event Highlights Include:
🎺 Live Performances in the Main Tent:
• 10:30 am & 1:00 pm: Mariachi Corcel de Madison
• 11:30 am & 2:00 pm: Hola's Grupo Folklorico
• 3:00 pm: Heart of the Beast Puppet Theatre

🎭 Heart of the Beast Puppet Theatre from Minneapolis:
• Four puppet and mask storytelling sessions throughout the day in the Oshkosh Public Library Tent, sponsored by Fox Communities Credit Union, culminating in a final performance at 3 pm in the Main Tent.
🧡 Ofrenda Display (Now Open):
• Honor a loved one by contributing their photo to the Museum's Día de los Muertos Ofrenda, now on view through November 1.
• To participate, email a copy of your photo to [email protected]. We'll print, frame, and include it on the ofrenda as part of this meaningful tribute.
• Please note: Photos will not be returned, so we ask that you only send copies.
🎨 Crafts & Activities:
• Hands-on stations for families and kids—all free!
Eat:
• Diablos Taco Truck, Moo's Ice Cream, The Dough Truck, and Chihuas Tacos (It's their grand opening!)
Attend the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre program on Friday, October 10, at the Oshkosh Public Library. The masks created will be used in the storytelling session at Dia de los Muertos.
