Register a team starting to compete to win the playful title of "Indy's Smartest Company!"
**Expanded Prizes in 2026**
1st Place: Hand-crafted "Indy's Smartest Company" company trophy, plus medals for each individual player
2nd place & 3rd place: Company trophies
2026 Tentative Event Schedule
8a-9a: Complimentary breakfast
8a-8:45a: Captain check-in
9a: Player meeting
9:30a: Games begin (rounds 1 and 2)
11:30a: Lunch break (off-site, not included)
12:30p: Games continue (rounds 3 and 4)
2:30p: Awards (blitz playoff if necessary)
2026 Tournament Design (see full rules at indychess.org/ccc)
Teams of four players (two alternates allowed)
Four rounds (all teams play all rounds in "Swiss" tournament)
Time control is 25 minutes/player with a 5-second increment/move
All chess boards, sets, and clocks provided
Games are casual/unrated; notation not required
Entry fee is $240/team
Corporate school program sponsors ($1,600/year) get free entry for up to two teams

1st Place: Eli Lilly and Company (3.5/4.0)
Tied for 2nd: Allison Transmission 1 (2.5/4.0)
Tied for 2nd: Schwarz Partners (2.5/4.0)
Tied for 2nd: OneAmerica (2.5/4.0)
Team Spirit: Roche Diagnostics
Last year's event raised more than $5,800 (net) to continue six free chess programs at Title I schools in Indianapolis:
1) Harshman Middle School (IPS)
2) George Washington Carver School 87 (IPS)
3) George Julian School 57 (IPS)
4) James Whitcomb Riley School 43 (IPS)
5) William Bell School 60 (IPS)
6) The PATH School (IPS Charter)
