On the first Sunday in May, the Pembroke Historical Society hosts The Grand Old Fish Fry at Pembroke’s Thomas A. Reading Park also known as The Herring Run. The primary fundraising event for the Pembroke Historical Society is well attended by all. Activities include face-painting, Captain Quack’s duck races, dunk tanks and music.
Food and beverages will be available~hot dogs, hamburgers, even a few herring for those who wish to try a bite. Popcorn, sweets, lemonade, soda and water.
Once again this year, we’re grateful to be joined by Lori & Jason Cook along with their staff from Somewhere Else Tavern. The Cooks have supported us for many years in many ways, including cooking at The Grand Old Fish Fry, hosting Pembroke Historical Society Trivia nights and meat raffles at Somewhere Else Tavern.
All ages are welcome at The Fish Fry~join us for this family friendly yearly tradition!
