The gates swing open and the season comes alive at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway as the 48th season of racing kicks off.Engines fire and echo through the valley. The smell of race fuel hangs in the air. Cars dive into the corners door to door, side by side, with drivers leaning on the edge of control as the clay slings off the tires and they rip through the turns. It’s loud, it’s fast, and it doesn’t let up.
At the center of it all is a matchup that sets the tone for the year. The RUSH Late Model Touring Series comes to town to take on the Rohrich Parts Center & Chevrolet Performance RUSH Late Model weekly competitors. The touring teams bring experience from across the region. The weekly drivers know every inch of this place. Nobody gives an inch when the season is just getting started.

The night carries added meaning with the running of the Herb Scott Memorial. A 10-time Pittsburgh Racing Association champion, Herb Scott spent decades competing at the highest level in the region and remained connected to the speedway even beyond his driving career. This event continues to honor his impact on local racing and the foundation he helped build.
