47th Annual Whiskey Road Race

INTRO
Attracting runners from all over the CSRA and the state of SC, the Whiskey Road Race has been an Aiken tradition for nearly 50 years. The Whiskey Road Race is our annual fundraiser which allows us to continue our vital services to victims of domestic and sexual violence in the 6 counties we serve. The funds raised by this race allows us to continue operating our agency and providing hope and new beginnings to those who have suffered abuse.
In 2025, Cumbee Center experienced a 6% increase in individuals served. We provided 9164 unique services to 952 survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We also provided 3,416 nights
of safety to 154 primary and secondary victims at our emergency shelter. We received in kind donations from over 150 community members or partners. We reached over 9,000 community members (including youth) through education, prevention and outreach initiatives. The work we are doing today is only possible because of your support. You make it possible for Cumbee Center to champion the lifesaving services we provide.

WHAT IS THE WHISKEY ROAD RACE?
The 10K race course takes runners down Whiskey Road, through Aiken’s historic horse district, winding itself through scenic and popular South Boundary Avenue. This beautiful course is designed to challenge runners and walkers alike through the event options of a 10K or 5K, providing a fun and exciting atmosphere for all who attend. The 5K and 10K are officially timed with chip timing. A digital clock will be displayed. Water will be provided on the course.
WHAT PARTICIPANT AMENITIES WILL I RECEIVE?
Participants registered for the 5K or 10K will receive a swag bag that includes a bib, shirt and other goodies. Participants registered for the 1 Mile and Tot Trot can purchase a swag bag that includes a shirt and other goodies. We will have an in-person pickup on Friday, November 6th at the office of the Cumbee Center from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and on Saturday, November 7th at Odell Weeks from 6:45 am to 7:45 am. (Participants registering after 10/15/2026 are not guaranteed a shirt.)
WILL THERE BE AWARDS?
Awards will be given for the top overall 5K/10K male and female finishers and the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers per age category for the 5K/10K. Awards will begin no later than 10:00 am.
REGISTRATION
Online registration closes on Tuesday, November 3rd at 10:00 pm. In-person registration is available on Friday, November 6th at the office of Cumbee Center from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, during swag bag/bib pick up. In-person registration is also available on Saturday, November 6th (race day morning) from 6:45 am to 7:45 am. Late entries will not be accepted.
RACE DAY
Race day registration closes at 8:00 am.
Race day check-in must be done by 8:10 am. (This is not required if you pre check-in on November 6th.)
10K and 5K begin promptly at 8:30 am.
1-Mile Fun Run begins at 9:30 am.
Tot Trot begins begin at 9:30 am.
