The Dubuque Jaycees and Radio Dubuque presents the 40th Annual 3rd of July Fireworks and Air Show! This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we honor the 250th anniversary of America, making it a once-in-a-generation event you won’t want to miss. Bring your friends and family for an unforgettable evening of community, celebration, and a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the Dubuque sky.SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
12:00pm - Parking Lots Open
4:00pm - Food + Beverage Vendors Open in AY McDonald Park
6:00pm - Air Show
9:00pm - All Veteran Group Parachute night jump
9:45pm/dusk - Fireworks
PARKING INFORMATION:
The Jaycee parking lots for the Fireworks & Air Show open up at 12:00pm on July 3rd and typically fill up around 6:00pm. Once the parking lots fill up, Kerper Blvd will be closed for incoming traffic. The parking lots will temporarily reopen for 20-minutes following the Air Show to allow people to leave. The parking lots won't reopen until 30-minutes after the Fireworks show to allow for pedestrians to safely walk to their cars.
All parking stalls are standard parking stall size. If you want extra space for a tent/recreation you will need to pay for an additional parking spot. Parking is $20/vehicle. All proceeds help support the cost of the event.
Due to construction, we do not have a hard top parking lot for handicap parking. If you need transport to AY McDonald Park, the Dubuque Jaycees can assist you when you arrive.
PARKING LOT DEPARTURE WARNING:
The Police Department will start releasing cars from the Jaycee parking lots 30 MINUTES AFTER THE FIREWORKS SHOW ENDS to allow pedestrians to exit the event site and get back to their vehicles (approximately 10:45pm). Please be patient as we ensure the safety of all our event guests.
The Dubuque Police Department reserves the right to close Kerper Blvd to incoming traffic when the Jaycee parking lots are full, or when the crowd size make it unsafe for vehicle traffic.
FOOD VENDORS:
TBA!
RECOGNITION & THANK YOU'S:
A BIG thank you to our event organizers who coordinate this event year after year. The Dubuque Jaycees coordinate the Fireworks show and provides 40+ volunteers to run the event. Radio Dubuque coordinates the Air Show and the All Veteran Parachute Team night jumps that take place throughout the week.
A very special thanks to the City of Dubuque and all of its employees for contributing their time to keep our event safe.
