Class of 1986 — Our 40th Reunion is Coming Home!!
Forty years, Class of '86. FORTY!!! How is that even possible?
Save the date: Saturday, September 19, 2026— and yes, we're kicking it off during Pumpkin Festival Parade Day, because where else would we celebrate but home?
We'll be at Potter's Alley (still Safari Bowl in our hearts, we know) from 6-9pm, and we've got the whole place to ourselves.
Here's the thing — this isn't high school anymore. Whatever happened back then, whoever we were at 17 or 18, that's not who's walking through those doors in September. We've all grown up. Built lives, careers, families. Weathered hard years and celebrated good ones. We've got stories now — real ones — and there's something pretty rare about getting to share them with the same people who knew you before any of it happened. People don't get that most places. We do. Don't let old high school stuff be the reason you sit this one out. Come see who we've all become.
And we have to be honest with you — we've lost classmates over these last several years. That's part of why this matters so much right now. These connections, this hometown, this class — it's not something we can take for granted anymore. Every reunion we don't show up for is a chance we don't get back.
So make the plan. Clear the calendar. Come home.
THE DETAILS:
- $30/person gets you pizza, veggie tray, dessert, all the soda you want, and bowling for anyone who's up for it
- Kitchen's open all night if you'd rather order off the menu (extra cost)
- Cash bar
- Venmo coming soon for registration — or cash/check works too, just reach out for details
(And word on the street is Potter's Alley's food is genuinely really good — bonus.)
And we don't want just one night — we want as much time together as we can get. Kim McConaghy Koch has snagged an Airbnb right in the heart of the Pumpkin Festival for the whole week! Everyone's welcome to swing by, hang out, and chitchat on the front patio and driveway — it's the perfect spot to watch all the parade and festival action unfold throughout the week, and a great place to put your feet up for a few minutes if you're tired from walking the festival grounds.
So whether you're rolling into town early, staying through the week, or just around for Parade Day, come catch up on old times and new times, casually, whenever you can. (The address will be sent out as we get closer to festival week!)
One more thing— we know not everybody is on social media. If there's someone from our class you still keep in touch with who might not be seeing this, please reach out and let them know personally. We want as many familiar faces there as possible, and we don't want anyone missing out just because they didn't see a post.
And please feel free to share this post on your own social media pages too — the more of us who see it, the more of us who'll be there!
Questions? Reach out to me (Bill Schureman), Erik Roecker, or Mark Wilson.
We can't wait to see every single one of you.
