Monthly 40-shot NRA approved matches, third Saturday of each month from March through October (June 21st match is a 60-shot registered match). We typically run 3 relays and 5x5 animals but may run 2 relays and/or 10 animals in a row depending on the number of shooters. Usual turn-out is 15-30 shooters but we can accommodate up to 48.
Registration begins at 7AM. Positions drawn at random at 8AM. Range is open for practice the day before the match and 30 minutes prior to match start. We try to have our shooters meeting by 8:45 and be underway by 9AM.
Standard NRA BPCR silhouette rules apply except that we break ties based on chicken count, then rams, then turkeys unless competitors demand a shoot-off. Long-runs are shot after the match except for chickens.
Match fee is $25. Tips for target setters are expected. Junior and first-time shooters shoot for free.
No food sold/provided on site so pack a lunch except for June match where lunch is provided (I hope you like pizza because that's what you're getting).
Free lodging available on-site (bring a cot or air mattress). Primitive camping available on site but no hook-ups. Several motels and restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive.
