Create your very own mosaic tile subway stop inspired by the iconic designs found throughout New York City! In this four-week hands-on course, you’ll learn the art of mosaics from start to finish while crafting a personalized work of art that’s uniquely yours.

What You’ll Do:
Over the course of four sessions, you’ll explore the fundamentals of mosaic art—learning how to plan your design, cut and arrange tiles, and bring your ideas to life using a combination of color, texture, and composition. We’ll start with smaller practice projects to get comfortable using the tools and materials, then move on to your main piece: a custom wood mosaic of your very own NYC subway stop.

Whether you want to reimagine your favorite station, swap in your own name, or honor a place that means something special to you, this course gives you the freedom to make it personal.

This workshop is perfect for all skill levels—no prior experience needed. Come ready to relax, get creative, and take home a bold, meaningful piece of art you’ll be proud to display.

It's very helpful to research and come up with a design template before the first session

What’s Included:
All materials are provided, including:

• A wood base
• A variety of colorful glass tiles
• Professional tile-cutting tools and adhesives
• Grout and finishing materials

What to Expect:

• Week 1: Introduction to mosaic art & Designing and sketching your layout
• Week 2: Cutting, placing, and adhering tiles
• Week 3: Cutting, placing, and adhering tiles
• Week 4: Finalizing pieces

* Guests will be taking home a grout kit with all supplies necessary & detailed instructions.*

Missed Classes / Makeups :

Please make every effort to attend all four sessions, as each class builds on the previous one and is important to completing your piece.

We offer one makeup session per student, regardless of how many sessions are missed. Makeup spots are limited to two students per session and are offered alongside the following month's cohort on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you’re unable to complete your piece during the course, we’re happy to direct you to where you can purchase the necessary materials to finish it independently. However, we cannot send studio materials home, as they are reserved for future classes and cohorts.
