About this Event

🐏 30 Years of Excellence: The Goat & Lamb Youth Camp 🐐
A Special Anniversary Celebration for Past, Present, and Future Showmen!

Celebrate a milestone in Pitt County agriculture! This year marks the 30th Anniversary of our premier youth livestock camp. For three decades, we have been building leaders in the ring, and we’re marking this big year with our most inclusive camp yet.

One Camp, Two Tracks: To ensure every child receives high-quality, hands-on instruction, campers must choose either Team Goat or Team Lamb. Because both tracks run simultaneously within the same camp session, youth cannot participate in both.

📅 Event Schedule & Details
  • Dates: July 9 & 10, 2026
  • Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Location: Pitt County Fair Grounds:
  • 3910 M.L.K. Jr Hwy, Greenville, NC 27834
  • Ages: 9–12

🏆 30th Anniversary Highlights

Specialized Tracks Campers (ages 9-12) will select their animal focus upon registration to receive expert instruction in showmanship, grooming, nutrition, and daily care tailored specifically to Goats or Lambs.

The Great Alumni Roundup To honor our 30-year history, we are calling all 4-H and Camp Alumni back to the barn! We invite former campers and local 4-H alumni to participate in a special Alumni Roundup Show. Dust off your boots, share your wisdom with the kids, and show us you’ve still got it!

✨ What to Expect
  • Hands-On Learning: Learn about showmanship, shearing/clipping, milking, and overall animal care.
  • Expert Instruction: Learn from seasoned professionals and educators.
  • Commemorative Fun: Special anniversary activities to celebrate 30 years of community.
  • The Grand Finale: A full camp show where everyone from Cloverbuds to Alumni gets their time in the spotlight.

🏕️ Getting Your Camper Camp-Ready

Every child attending camp must have an active profile in 4-H Online. This is our primary system for managing camper safety and communication.

Register Here:v2.4honline.com

Why This Matters for Parents

We know "one more form" can be a hassle, but this system is specifically designed to keep your child safe while they are in our care:

  • Insurance Coverage: Once your child’s profile is marked "Active," they are automatically covered by 4-H accidental insurance for the duration of the camp.
  • Instant Medical Access: In the event of an allergy or emergency, our staff has immediate, secure access to the digital health forms and emergency contacts you provide.
  • Privacy First: The system is PCI and HIPAA compliant, meaning your family’s sensitive medical and personal data is kept strictly confidential and secure.
  • Stay in the Loop: You’ll receive important camp updates, arrival/departure details, and information on future youth scholarships and events.

How to Register
  1. Create a Family Profile: If you are new to 4-H, start by creating one primary account for your household.
  2. Add Your Camper: Create an individual profile for each child attending camp.
  3. Complete the Health Form: Ensure the medical section is up-to-date so our camp counselors are fully prepared to support your child.
