This is the ultimate end-of-year experience — climbing through the clouds summiting as the sun rises over a new year and celebrating your victory above the world.

🧭 Route
Sirimon up – Chogoria down
We ascend gradually through lush forest and moorlands summit Lenana on New Year’s morning and descend via Mintos Tarn and Lake Ellis — the most scenic and adventurous route combination on Mt Kenya.
🕓 Itinerary
🗓️ Day 1 (Dec 30): Depart Nairobi 8:00 AM from City Hall Way–Taifa Road junction (opposite International House). Drive to Sirimon Gate and trek to Old Moses Camp (3300 m).
🗓️ Day 2 (Dec 31): Trek across moorlands to Shipton’s Camp (4200 m) — New Year’s Eve at the base of the peaks.
🗓️ Day 3 (Jan 1): Pre-dawn summit push to Point Lenana (4985 m). Watch the first sunrise of 2026 from the top descend via Mintos Tarn and camp by Lake Ellis.
🗓️ Day 4 (Jan 2): Visit Nithi Waterfalls before exiting through Chogoria Gate and driving back to Nairobi.
