Mala Dhara Yoga Retreat Center was envisioned over a decade ago as a sanctuary for yoga created to support both the local Chiang Mai yoga community and the growing number of international visitors seeking depth in their practice study and self-exploration.

We primarily host retreats curated by visiting teachers from around the world — each offering unique lineages perspectives and modalities — thoughtfully chosen to provide a wide and enriching spectrum of yoga experiences to our community.

On occasion when time and space allow Mala Dhara also offers our own in-house weekend retreats. These rare and intimate offerings are a special extension of our homegrown philosophy — rooted in the land aligned with the seasons and deeply local.

Mala Dhara is located in the quiet countryside away from the bustling Chiang Mai city center surrounded by wide open rice fields and views of the mountains beyond. The land is peaceful and spacious — a place where nature sets the pace.

Adobe-style villas a saltwater pool and open-air spaces sit gently on the earth built with care and respect for the land. This is a place rooted in local rhythm and guided by simplicity.

Nearby natural hot springs and limestone caves offer a deeper connection to the elements — earth water stillness jungle and heat — all held in the surrounding landscape.
