Arctic Encounter is proud to announce a new partnership with the Alaska Native Heritage Center (ANHC) to significantly expand the Artist Vendor Market at the 2026 Arctic Encounter Summit in Anchorage. The Alaska Native Heritage Center’s mission and year-round programs celebrate, strengthen, and share the cultures and living heritage of Alaska Native peoples. This longstanding commitment makes ANHC a natural partner for Arctic Encounter as we expand and elevate the artist market at this annual convening.
For more than a decade, Arctic Encounter has convened leaders from across Alaska, the Arctic, and around the world to address the most pressing issues shaping the North. Raising awareness through direct connection and the arts has been a unique and powerful part of the convening that participants greatly value.
The 2026 Market will showcase Alaska Native artists, designers, cultural entrepreneurs, and creatives whose work reflects identity, land, story, resilience, and innovation. Produced in collaboration with the Alaska Native Heritage Center, this partnership helps ensure the market is grounded in authenticity, cultural integrity, and meaningful community connection.
The expanded 2026 market will:
- Feature a larger footprint and increased visibility within the Summit experience, as well as public access for non-Summit participant sales
- Highlight Indigenous and Arctic artists from across Alaska and beyond
- Connect artists directly with an international audience of policymakers, investors, military leaders, diplomats, business executives, and community changemakers
- Provide a platform for storytelling, cultural exchange, and economic opportunity
The Arctic is not only a geopolitical focal point. It is a living, creative, and culturally rich region. This market reflects that truth. ANHC will be leading all key aspects of curating the 2026 Market through a Call for Indigenous Artists, and more.
