Join us at the farm to learn how to grow your own shiitake mushrooms and start your own mushroom garden by making a log or two at our workshop. You don’t need any experience or tools but it’s recommended to have a shady spot in your yard to keep your log. This event is for Saturday April 26th at 3:30pm.
You have the option to make 1 or 2 logs and will learn everything you need to know to grow your own shiitakes. If you want to do it as a couple or family that’s fine, we just need to know the total logs desired per person / group. Due to equipment and space, spots will be limited and carpooling is encouraged.
There will also be a short tour of our shiitake yard and open house during the event as groups cycle through the work stations.
This is a rain or shine event so be prepared for the elements and we will try to provide cover if need be. You might want a water bottle, gloves, eye protection or sunglasses and/or a notebook but take home instructions will be provided.
We also have take home spawn available to make your own logs!
