Third Thursdays Poetry: September
Carla Panciera was born on her family’s dairy farm in Westerly, Rhode Island. Her poetry collections include Cider Press Award Winner, One of the Cimalores, Bordighera Press Award Winner, No Day, No Dusk, No Love and most recently, One Trail of Longing, Another of String (also Bordighera). Her short story collection, Bewildered, received AWP’s Grace Paley Award and was published by the University of Massachusetts Press. She is also the author of Barnflower: A Rhode Island Farm Memoir. Her work has appeared in numerous journals including the New England Review, Poetry, Spillway, Water~Stone Review, and Iron Horse Literary Review. Carla has received funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, and the Bread Loaf Writers Conference. She is the Assistant Poetry Editor for MomEgg Review. A retired high school English teacher, Panciera lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
K. T. Landon’s debut collection, Abide, was selected by Kim Addonizio as the winner of the 2025 Richard Snyder Memorial Poetry Prize. Her poems have appeared in The Southern Review, The Sun, New Ohio Review, Nimrod, North American Review, Narrative, and Best New Poets, among others. Arts. Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net and won the Arts & Letters PRIME Poetry Prize. She received her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is a reader for Lily Poetry Review.
Rebecca Hart Olander’s books include Uncertain Acrobats, a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Book Award and the Massachusetts Book Award, and Singing from the Deep End, both from CavanKerry Press. A Women's National Book Association Poetry Award winner, her work has been supported by Straw Dog Writers Guild and the Mass Cultural Council. Rebecca has taught writing widely, most recently as the James Merrill Visiting Poet at Amherst College, and she works with graduate student poets at Wilkes University. She is the editor/director of Perugia Press, a feminist press publishing emerging women poets. Rebecca grew up on Boston’s North Shore and lives in Western Massachusetts.
Kali Lightfoot is a queer poet living in Salem, MA. Her poetry has appeared in journals and anthologies, and been nominated for Pushcart prizes and Best of the Net. Her first collection, Pelted by Flowers, was named a “Must Read” by the Massachusetts Center for the Book. Big Band Night at the Good Life Bar is her second full-length collection. She earned an MFA at Vermont College of Fine Arts, 2015.
