On Saturday, February 1, 2025, the Towson Elks Lodge #469 will take over The Recher Theater for the second annual Wine & Dine for Warriors to raise funds to support Baltimore-area veterans. Last year’s event raised more than $40,000 for three area organizations that provide services to military veterans and families.WHAT: Wine & Dine for Warriors, featuring dinner, live music by 80’s rock band Weird Science, and a silent auction
WHEN: Saturday, February 1, 2025
6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
WHERE: The Recher Theater, 512 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204
Parking is available in the Cinemark garage on Delaware Avenue.
WHO: More than 300 people are expected to attend. Special guests include veterans, State Delegate Cathi Forbes, and Baltimore County Councilman Mike Ertel.
WHY: More than 360,000 veterans live in Maryland and more than 1 in 4 have a disability. Many struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and other mental health conditions, and veterans are at significantly higher risk of homelessness and death by suicide. The success of the inaugural Wine & Dine for Veterans event in 2023 allowed the Towson Elks Lodge to expand its support to veterans’ organizations that provide mental health, suicide prevention, equine and canine therapy, socialization, and other services to local veterans.
