My name is Zachary Ball Sr.! I’m born & raise in Meridian, Ms. I am an event organizer of this annual “Walk For Mental Health” event. This was a vision that came about back in January 2023. I lost my father whom ended his life back in January of 2018! It took me a while to have some kinda understanding about the loss. I faced my on mental illness with dealing with depression from so many traumatic things. So I stepped out on faith to see a therapist which helped me tremendously & then thought about I could help others in this community by sharing my testimony about the loss of my father & things I’ve faced. This is my 3rd year & the last two years has been a success. So I’m looking forward to this & bringing the city out again to start the new year focusing on our mental health. I have 7 guest speakers, the voices of the community, mim dancing, live DJ, a photographer, Balloon Release, Exercise/1 mile walk by BTBY and many more guests!
