Come join us for a sizzling celebration of our brave veterans at the Veterans Day Whole Hog Cook-off!!! This exciting event will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 669 Tarheel Rd, Benson, NC 27504.

-Cooking Teams ($150 Entry Fee & Get PRE-registered)

-Vendors (FREE to set up - must be registered and approved by 11.05.25)

-Volunteers (Just want to help in some way? contact Christy)

-Door Prizes (to be given away during event. Announcement of donater when given out. Need by 11.05.25)

-Donations (help cover expenses so more $$ can be donated!)

Mark your calendars and join us at the Veterans Day Whole Hog Cook-off, 11.09.24.More On Cook-Off

1. Cooks meeting 6PM Fri Nov 8th. Each team will draw a judges number at this time

2. Contestants can take their HOGS right after the cooks meeting. Prepping and cooking the HOG can take place at any time.

3. HOGs MUST be to a temp of 180 degrees by 10am, Sat 11.08.25. A contest representative will test the HOGS at 10AM

4. Once the representative OKs the temp the teams can begin chopping the meat

5. The judges’ portion will be collected at 11AM.

6. Teams will each receive (1) clam style box to put their entries in for the judges

7. Judging will be blind based on Taste, Texture, Presentation

8. There will be four guest judges

9. Samples will be given out to individuals beginning at 11:30AM

10. Teams will serve until all their meat is gone

11. Winner presentations will be presented at 2PM

Info: ALL VOLUNTEERS on deck! We'll cover the grounds and what's happening on the big day and then a PRAYER WALK for a successful, fun & safe event!!!!

Info: All Cooking Team Captains on deck! We'll be meeting, going over rules and regulations and handing off the WHOLE Hogs to cook!!!

Info: All vendors must be set up and have all cars parked in designated area.

Info: $10 Registration Fee includes -lunch ticket for BBQ ccok-off -1 people's choice vote on favorite BBQ entry -1 special entry to GRAND PRIZE (riders only)

Info: Ride will leave Freedom Biker Church for a nice hour-ish country ride and then back for grub and the rally with LIVE music, food, vendors and more!
