3rd Annual Summer Stop at Mayfield Church

Mayfield Congregational Church United Church of Christ invites the community to a family-friendly celebration on July 25, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities for all age groups take place at the church, 28405 Church Rd in Sycamore.
Craft-making activities will be available free to young and old, while ice cream sundaes and items handmade by members of the church will be available for purchase. The Bluebelles ukulele group will perform beloved songs from the 30s through the 50s.
Visitors can explore the Mayfield Monarch Waystation and learn about the native species of plants and butterflies that call it home. Waystation gardeners will be available all day to answer questions and guide visitors. From 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., experts from the Rock River Valley Chapter of Wild Ones will present “Why Native Plants Matter: Supporting Biodiversity and Wildlife in Our Own Yards.”
Country Road Greenhouses of Rochelle will offer native plants for sale all day, so you can go home with pollinator plants to beautify your own yard.
