The 3rd Annual Pride Bike Ride is happening ~~🏳️‍🌈🚲 ~~ We’ll be cruising together at a no-drop pace while proudly decorated in all our colorful gear. Any mode of transport such as a pedal (e)-bikes, bikes with a shotgun seat, scooters, skateboards, unicycle, roller skates, etc. are all welcome.
The route will be an out-and-back beginning (and ending) at Lakeview Commons. We will be riding out to our turnaround point at Camp Richardson (~6 miles one way, 12 miles roundtrip) all on class 3 bike paths and side streets.
We're happy to announce that Liberty Utilities "Friends of Liberty" group will be generously sponsoring our pre and post-ride snacks and drinks. Please join us for light refreshments and some beach time even if you don’t do the ride (we plan to finish up at Lakeview commons around noon).
Rules
1. Participants must obey traffic rules (stop signs, red lights, etc.)
2. Participants must stay on the sidewalk or bike lanes. No obstucting traffic!
3. We will make multiple stops to re-group, hydrate, rest. Always stop in a safe location.
4. Participants must ride safely, remember trail sharing etiquette (right-of-way to people on foot) and maintain a safe distance between riders.
Participants are encouraged to ride their bikes from home to Lakeview Commons (as parking is limited) or catch us along our path!
All the required liability things:
We are doing this ride solely to gather people together and celebrate our diverse representations. Although we have chosen the safest route we can imagine and have set ground rules, there is still risk of injury for participating in this event. Basic medical help can be provided, but anything more than a small band-aid, we will recommend you seek professional medical treatment. We are not liable for accidents or injuries during the ride. Every individual is responsible for their own safety.
