Convening Focus
This year, we’re Building a Better Tomorrow: Advancing Behavioral Health in Nebraska. Building on our previous Convenings, we will introduce the Nebraska Behavioral Health Coalition and the Strategic Action Teams helping to drive its work forward. We will share progress updates, engage in collaborative policy and funding discussions, and explore opportunities for continued action to create lasting change across Nebraska.
Pre-Convening Session
NAMI Nebraska will host a pre-convening session at The Mill on Innovation Campus, designed for attendees with lived experience navigating Nebraska’s behavioral health system. This dedicated preparation session will help participants engage fully in the statewide convening. Contact James Michael Bowers at [email protected] to register.
Travel Stipends
Travel stipends are available for individuals who would otherwise need to cover their own travel costs to attend, including people with lived experience of mental health or substance use challenges and those who have supported a loved one facing these challenges. To request a stipend, please contact James Michael Bowers at [email protected].
Free Research Report
All attendees will receive a free copy of the Nebraska Mental Health & Substance Use Research Study’s comprehensive report. This full-length document presents detailed research findings, thematic analysis, stakeholder perspectives, and policy considerations from last year’s statewide research study.
