B.  Disqualification

C. Surrender

D. Referee Stoppage

V Time Limit:

A. Three (3) continuous minutes per match. [Two (2) continuous minutes for Youth matches]. When the time has ended, the timekeeper will yell “TIME”! The timekeeper well also throw a taped rolled up towel into the ring so the fighters and center Ref can see the match is over.

B. If the “Clock” needs to be stopped during the match for a safety concern or a judging issue, the center Referee will be the one to stop the match by yelling “Time Out”! The Referee will make sure that the timer visually acknowledges the “Time Out” command.

C. To continue the match, the referee will then yell “Continue” or Blow a whistle. The timekeeper will then start the clock.

D. A referee’s command to “Break” or Blowing of the whistle to have the fighters to stop fighting. This is so points can be collected from the Ring Judges. The time does not stop while collecting point UNLESS there is a Point issue.

E. A Ring Judge can ONLY stop to fight in the event they see a safety issue

VI Scoring of the Points:

A. The fighters will be separated, when the referee has seen a total of (3) strikes from the fighters. (3 Strikes TOTAL, NOT 3 Strikes from each Fighter) The referee will ask the judges to score the Hits. The referee will ALWAYS call the points in this order to the Ring Judges, no matter where the fighter was struck:

Hit to the Legs

Hit to the Body

Hit to the Arms (includes the weapon hand)

Hit to the Head

B. If the 1st or 2nd strike is to the fighter’s head the referee will separate the fighters so the judges can score the strikes.

C. To verify a point, the judges will raise either a blue or red stick.

D. None of the judges will be able to initiate the point called.

E. For one point the scorekeeper will write “1”. For two points the scorekeeper will write “2”.   Head – 2 Points Weapon Hand, Torso, Legs and Arms – 1 Point

F. If the fighter had scored multiple hits to the same target (except the head) before the whistle is blown, the Judges should count each of those hits as points. Example: When the Center Ref calls, hit to the ARM and the Judges saw 2 Hits to RED’s Arm, the Judges will Raise their BLUE Stick and TWO fingers indicating 2 points for the ARM. Two out of the Three Judges must agree for the 2 points to stand. If only One of the Judges calls 2 points to the Arm and the Second Judge calls 1 point to the Arm, the Fighter will just get 1 point.
